Hi, I'm Paola 👋
I didn't grow up doing this. I found the outdoors as an adult, and I fell in love with the feeling of trying something new, being a beginner, and learning as I go. Camping, archery, hiking, exploring, none of it came naturally at first. I figured it out one small, imperfect step at a time.
My adventure partner 💛
So much of what I know, I learned with my husband by my side. He is my adventure partner, the one who pushed me to try, kept me company when I was nervous, and taught me most of what I now share with you. Our family is a huge part of this too, because the best adventures are the ones we take together.
Why I do this
I always had this pull to explore, to see new places and teach myself new things. So I share my real process, the wins and the awkward first tries, because I truly believe the world would be a better place if we all spent more time outside. Off the screens, in the dirt, together. I write especially for the women and moms who feel a little nervous about starting, the ones who didn't grow up doing this either. If I could start from zero, so can you.
Back to the simple things 🌿
For me, the outdoors is part of a bigger, slower way of living, old-fashioned on purpose. That means a garden in the backyard, sourdough rising on the counter, and cooking real, whole food from scratch. It's not about doing it perfectly; it's about doing it with our own hands, teaching our kids where things really come from, and choosing the simple over the rushed.
